Mr. Rady is a past President of the Middlesex Law Association and was Vice-President of the Ontario Criminal Lawyers Association for four years before becoming its Provincial Director. He has served as the CLA’s chair of Continuing Education where his responsibilities have included chairing its Spring and Fall criminal education conferences and convention. He has been actively involved in Legal Aid issues both as the Chair of the CLA’s Legal Aid Committee and as a non-bencher member of the Law Society of Upper Canada’s Legal Aid committee. Mr. Rady has also served on the Board of Directors of the St. Leonard’s Society and is currently a board member of The Centre for Children and Families in the Justice System.
Mr. Rady has lectured on criminal law topics at the Ontario Police College in Aylmer, the University of Western Ontario Law School, the Bar Admission Course, and Criminal Law programs of The Advocate’s Society, CLA, and the Six Minute Criminal Defence Lawyer series.
Mr. Rady’s practice covers all areas of criminal law from provincial offences to the defence of charges under the Income Tax Act to murder trials. Although he is primarily a trial lawyer, he appears from time to time before the Ontario Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada. |
