Deborah was admitted to the Alberta Bar in 1999. Her practice is exclusively a criminal defence practice, devoted to trial and appellate work. She has appeared at all levels of Court in Alberta and at the Supreme Court of Canada a number of times. She has also represented both individual and corporate clients facing quasi-criminal matters such as regulatory and environmental charges.

Deborah is a past member of the Law Society’s Criminal Practice Advisory Committee and the Law Society’s Education and Credentials Committee. She served as President of the Alberta Criminal Trial Lawyers’ Association (2009-2011) and on the C.T.L.A. Executive for many years prior.

Deborah has served as a guest lecturer/instructor at the University of Alberta Law School and at the Legal Education Society of Alberta’s Intensive Advocacy Program.
